If you watched the Yankee's game last night, you likely remember Los Angeles Angels star Shohei Ohtani blast off a 3-run homerun against the Yankees, causing the Angels to lead the game 3-2.
You might not have known, but history was made before your eyes when the ball pitched by Gerrit Cole to Ohtani went over the centerfield wall. Not only was his homerun great for the Angels eventual win, but it was great for Ohtani - his homerun made him the first player in AL/NL history to record 10 wins on the mound and 30 homers at the plate in the same season. This homerun also made history as Ohtani is now the first Japanese-born player with multiple 30-homer seasons.
Ohtani is sitting at 30 homers, 20 doubles, 82 RBIs, 75 runs scored, 11 stolen bases in 127 games, and has a BA of .385 in his last 15 games. Withal, his pitching is excellent; he's 11-8, with a 2.67 ERA and 176 strikeouts in 128 innings.
Man he is really doing insane again this
